Senior QA Engineer – Permits

As a Senior QA Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of Permits. You define testing approaches, drive automation initiatives, and promote quality best practices across the development lifecycle, working closely with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams.
About Permits
Permits is Sogelink’s SaaS platform that digitalizes and automates environmental and construction permitting processes. Built on scalable, API-driven architecture, it helps authorities manage applications, compliance checks, and complex regulatory workflows more efficiently — creating meaningful technical challenges for engineers building robust, high-performance solutions.
What you will do
Design, write and execute manual and automated test cases for new and existing features.
Build, maintain and improve automated test suites using Cypress.
Perform API testing to ensure reliability and performance across integrated systems.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Architects throughout the development lifecycle.
Contribute to CI/CD quality practices and help ensure release readiness.
Identify, document, and track defects, supporting their resolution with development teams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily scrums, 2-week sprints, program increments).
Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and testing methodologies.
Who you are
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing.
Strong experience designing test strategies, defining test plans, and establishing quality standards across complex software products.
Hands-on experience with Cypress, API testing, and test automation frameworks.
Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and quality assurance practices in modern SaaS environments.
Experience working in Agile development teams and collaborating closely with Product and Engineering stakeholders.
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Xray is a plus.
Exposure to AI-assisted testing or generative AI testing approaches is a plus.
Autonomous, proactive, and solution-oriented.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence quality practices across teams.
Fluent in English. French is an advantage.
