⚠️ Fluency in English is required.
As a QA Developer, you join our engineering software team and contribute directly to the quality and reliability of advanced desktop and web applications used in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry.
You combine solid .NET development skills with a strong quality engineering mindset. Your work ensures the correctness of software used by civil engineers, structural engineers, architects, and tendering professionals across complex, calculation-heavy products.
You operate in an international Agile environment based in Budapest, working closely with developers and domain specialists.
About the team & products
You join a cross-functional engineering team building software used to design, analyze, and manage construction and infrastructure projects across Europe.
Our applications embed complex engineering logic: calculation engines, data processing workflows, and technical exports where precision and reliability are critical.
Quality is not only about testing features — it is about validating engineering correctness.
What you will do
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for desktop and web applications (.NET / C#)
Write and execute test plans, test cases, and regression suites targeting complex domain-specific functionalities
Validate calculation engines, engineering workflows, and technical outputs (civil, structural, architectural, tendering)
Develop automated tests in C# or scripting languages and ensure their robustness and maintainability
Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with developers to ensure fast and reliable resolution
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitLab) and define quality gates
Participate in code reviews with a focus on testability, reliability, and engineering quality
Collaborate with domain experts (engineers, architects) to understand requirements, constraints, and edge cases
Contribute to documentation, test methodology, and knowledge sharing within the team
Who you are
Solid experience in software testing (manual and automated) in a .NET environment (C# / C++)
Strong ability to design and write maintainable, robust test automation code
Experience with desktop application testing (WPF or similar)
Familiar with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or equivalent)
Comfortable in complex technical environments with strong business logic
Basic understanding of at least one AEC domain (civil, structural, architectural, or cost estimation)
Analytical and structured mindset, with strong attention to detail
Curious and eager to understand engineering problems beyond software
Nice to have
Knowledge of civil engineering or structural analysis concepts
Experience with calculation engines or domain-specific technical libraries
Familiarity with BIM, GIS, or CAD formats (IFC, DWG, GeoJSON…)
Experience with performance, integration, or system testing in engineering contexts
Exposure to DevOps practices in engineering software environments
