What you will do

• Perform monthly and annual closings for Dutch entities in coordination with other accountants.

• Prepare annual financial statements and assist with statutory audits.

• Submit VAT, Intrastat, and other regulatory reports accurately and on time.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on unusual items.

• Analyze cash flows and provide insights to support operational decisions.

• Execute ad-hoc analyses to assist the team and management.

• Contribute to process standardization and efficiency improvements.

• Book accounts payable invoices and support accounts receivable activities.

Who you are

• You hold an HBO degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.

• You have 3–5 years of experience in a finance role, ideally in an audit firm.

• Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting regulations and IFRS.

• Solid experience in general accounting, including accounts payable/receivable and debtor/creditor management.

• Familiarity with treasury activities and payment processes.

• Good understanding of local tax compliance (VAT, statutory reporting).

• Proficient with ERP systems and advanced Excel (experience with AFAS is a strong advantage).

• Excellent analytical skills, meticulous, and highly responsible.

• Proactive problem-solver, organized, and thrives in an international team.

• Fluent in English; Dutch fluency or strong experience with AFAS is required.
